Presentaties European Cultural Commons conferentie online beschikbaar (Publicatie)
Als onderdeel van het Poolse Europese voorzitterschap organiseerden Europeana en de Nationale Bibliotheek van Polen op 12 oktober 2011 in Warschau een conferentie om het strategische kader voor een 'Europese Cultural Commons' voor te stellen. Deze 'cultural commons' zijn een belangrijke actielijn in het Europese beleidsprogramma 'Digital Agenda for Europe 2020'.
De conferentie onderzocht het idee van een gedeeld Europees 'Cultural Commons' veld vanuit verschillende invalshoeken en ging na hoe dit in de praktijk zou kunnen omgezet worden. Er werd gestreefd naar een gedeelde visie van deze 'Commons' en het uittekenen van de eerste stappen om de barrières tot realisatie te kunnen ondervangen.
