Sustainable instability: the preservation of audiovisual media art in a changing landscape

This report is the result of a study, aimed at formulating of a proposal to offer a structural, long term and phased solution for the preservation issues of audiovisual and multimedia artistic creations and documents on art, with special attention for the wider cultural heritage framework.

In the study, the preservation of video and media art was investigated within the framework of the increasing convergence of media, telecommunication, the broadcasting and movie industry, but also regarding the renewed dynamics between production, preservation and distribution of audiovisual media.
