"Audio and video carriers" is a solid, non-technical introduction for all those professionally managing sound and video collections. The overview is a full text version of presentations used in TAPE workshops by Dietrich Schüller and Albrecht Haefner. TAPE stands for Training for Audiovisual Preservation in Europe, and was a project supported by the Culture 2000-programme of the European Union. The project ran from 2004 until 2008.
Dietrich Schüller was head of the Phonogrammarchiv, Austrian Academy of Sciences between 1972 and 2008.
